Space of Memory: Intimate NarrativesA 12 month research and development project on the encounter of memory with place and the home, in its unfolding part-flâneur, part-documentary: an unearthing and assemblage of autobiography with biography. The project included a series of wanderings, home visits and interviews in London, Liverpool and Glasgow, a one-on-one visceral encounter of past rooms and their associations: Story Surgery, and in the last phase a collaboration with a composer/sound artist exploring the home site of an empty flat in an installation: 64c, and a performance in the guise of the encounter and weighing of objects-memoirs: I can’t find you and you’ve got the things I’d often leave unspoken, 2006-2007 MORE on the project |
